The Construction Of My New House..

Eight monthes ago, I & my family moved to another house leaving our "old house" completely empty.
Because it is too old, about 45 years old, my father decided to rebuild it. Six monthes ago, the Pakistani workers started building my new house, which is of 2 floors. It mainly consists of a wide family hall, 2 majlises, 10 bedrooms, 12bathrooms and a kitchen. I like taking photos for memory for every thing good happens in my life . Therefore, I have taken some photos for my new house since its early stages of construction. Here are some of the photos that I have taken starting with the foundation.

The 2 pictures above show the construction of the foundation which take about 2 weeks.

Then, they started the walls of the first floor. They were really fast since it doesn't take them too much time to finish the walls "18 days only". Afterthat, they move to the roof of the floor "which took only one day to finish" and then stopped working for 2 weeks.

This picture show a view of the house from the front side.
....and this one from the back side.
The last picture shows a view of the house before 2 weeks. There are many changes happened in these days, but unfortunately I wasn't able to take photos for these changes. The workers sayed that they can work harder so the house will be ready before Ramadhan & I hope that.

petroleum engineering

Petroleum Engineering

http://technorati.com/lifestyle/article/oil-rig-explosion-off-the-coast/
Petroleum engineering is concerned with the production of oil and natural gas from the earth.
Petroleum engineers have to face the challange of developing ways of finding and producing hydrocarbons.

Most petroleum engineers work at production and construction sites in the outdoors, where they direct or supervise operations on the field.

Others spend time in laboratories, testing crude oil, fuels and other petroleum refined products.

Petroleum engineers work in office buildings. They use computers in their work, in analysis of exploring the reservoir's behavior, also in modification of oilfield production and drilling operations.

Most workers in this field are believed to be men, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that women cannot contribute to this field of engineering. In fact, there should be equal treatment for the female gender with men. In addition, the presence of women helps to create a softer environment.

After Muscat, Sohar is considered to be the most developed city in Oman. This photo shows the Global Roundabout which is one of the most important landmarks in Sohar.

This photo shows the Port of Sohar, it has a huge importance due to its location near the Strait of Hurmuz. It's also considered to be a world class port due to its effect on the economical situation  of the country.

Another landmark is the entrance gate (Sohar Gate).

Although Sohar is my original town, but my hometown is alKhuwair in Muscat. It's my birthplace, and I've being living here my entire life. The photo above shows the Said bin Taimur Mosque which is named after the Sultan of Oman from 1938-1970.

Here's a photo showing Al Zawawi Mosque, which is one of the most splendid Mosques in the area, and it's just off the main road.
